The HSS membership and guests are invited to come together to say aloha to summer at the HSS Summer Potluck Picnic at the Penland’s hale in Falls Church, VA. Bring your favorite dish to share enough to feed your group plus. Paper goods and drinks will be provided. Also, bring your beach chairs, blankets to sit on, and musical instruments for an afternoon of kanikapila music and hula.
The cost is $5 per person for HSS members and non-member guests, registering in advance is encouraged. Keiki age 10 years and younger are free. We'll start serving lunch at 1 p.m.
There will be kayaks and boat rides on the lake all afternoon too. Bring your life jackets; parental supervision required for young guests under 18 years old. Parking is available on the street. Please do not park on the sidewalk.
Volunteers are needed for set up and cleanup. Email Trippi with questions and volunteers.
